tumi-isi tumi-isi is an original object created by the small Japanese product manufacturer A4. From material procurement to manufacturing, everything is made in Japan. Imitations are a compliment It all began in 2008. Since the debut of tumi-ishi at the international trade fair "Ambiente" in Germany, imitations have been sold worldwide under the same name. Items sold under the name tumi-ishi on overseas websites are not, in fact, manufactured or sold by us. However, the fact that our product is so widely imitated is a testament to its popularity and the joy and employment it brings around the world, which we consider a great honor. Bringing this joy from Japan After its debut in 2008, production and sales were halted. However, we have finally been able to resume sales thanks to a suitable agreement on shape, production, and price in Nara Prefecture. The product name has been changed from tumi-ishi to tumi-isi (with a more minimalistic removal of the "h") and we are restarting with versions made from Yoshino cedar and Yoshino cypress.
